  1. Check your Shasta College e-mail regularly and know how to access your MyShasta account.  Your Shasta College e-mail is the e-mail address you listed on your college application.  It is the main way Shasta College informs you of updates, changes and deadlines for college enrollment and financial aid.  Your MyShasta account is personal to you and is your “dashboard” to student services such as financial aid paperwork, award information, class registration, unofficial transcripts, grade postings and a host of other things.
  2.  Be aware of the many resources available to you and get connected!  These include basic needs resources; campus cultural and social events; as well as Student Success Workshops that cover everything from note-taking, memory improvement, time management and improve Math skills, and how to prepare to transfer. Workshops are offered throughout the semester.
  3. Take advantage of the Tutoring Center (700 Building) and Shasta College library resources.
  4. Reach out and ask questions!
